The purpose of the two day residential workshop was to achieve the following outcomes: To identify potential improvements to the current systems of innovation at both provincial and national levels, and to make related policy and strategy recommendations. To develop specific action plans within each chosen futures theme to enable the implementation of prioritised actions by the delegates, supported by Cooperation Framework on Innovation Systems between Finland and South Africa (COFISA) and a range of relevant stakeholders.
