Climate Change And The South African Commercial Forestry Sector
Concern, awareness and interest surrounding climate change is increasing. In the scientific arena, it has become accepted that climate change is a reality, with the debate now focused on the magnitude and timing of change, the increasing frequency and intensity of extreme events, as well as on the potential impacts of change on natural and anthropogenic systems, including the commercial forestry sector in South Africa. It is for the above reasons that this report was commissioned by Forestry SA.
