Analyses the strategic thrusts of Kenya’s long-term development strategy and argues that the vision 2030 can unlock the potential of the economy. Kenya Vision 2030 is anchored on three key pillars: Economic; Social; and Political Governance. The objective of the economic pillar is to achieve an economic growth rate of 10 per cent per annum and sustaining the same till 2030. This growth target will be achieved through implementation of several flagship projects in 6 priority sectors namely Tourism, Agriculture, Wholesale and Retail Trade, Manufacturing, Business Process Out sourcing (BPO) and Financial Services.
