Women & Poverty

Women & Poverty Bibliozone

“If you educate a woman, you can change a whole society.”

Dr. Janet Edeme, Policy Officer for Rural Economy and Agriculture Development, African Union Commission, Ethiopia

In March, Foresight For Development turns the spotlight on the future of women and poverty eradication.

Featured in Bibliozone this month is a collection of publications related to women and poverty and what to expect in the future. The selection of documents is partial and based on accessible material. Therefore, we would like to invite everyone to supplement our library with additional materials.

Working in partnership with South African Women in Dialogue (SAWID) in this issue we feature some interesting documents courtesy from South African Women in Dialogue (SAWID).

Spotlight on South African Women in Dialogue (SAWID)

South African Women in Dialogue (SAWID) is an independent South African Women's Platform committed to hearing the voice of every woman and to improving the status of women by engaging national government, the private sector, civil society, (including non-governmental organisations, community-based organisations, faith-based organisations and donors) in partnership to shape community, provincial and continental agendas. The SAWID forum is impartial and not-for-profit and is tied to no party-political interests.
