Women
1 August 2011
We pick up from where Carey-Ann left off to continue with Foresight for Development’s monthly feature and blog – a tradition in the making. We celebrate Women's Day on the 9th of August therefore the focus of this month will be on foresight and women in Africa. We are excited to pioneer a partnership-based approach to our monthly features by collaborating with Millennia2015, a flagship foresight project subtitled: Women actors of development for the global challenges.
So we use this month to recognise the importance of the empowerment of women as actors in forming a better future. We profile Millennia2015, its mission, goals and foresight process. Millennia2015 has an active community that includes many African participants, and many African issues feature in the project. We hope the link between foresight and women's issues will inform and inspire our community.
Happy Women’s Month!
