This document created by the South African Government to address poverty in the country has two parts. The first part presents the anti-poverty framework, based on 9 pillars. The second part presents strategy. Attached to the strategy is a draft programme of action. The overall strategic objective of the Anti-Poverty Strategy is to eradicate poverty. It seeks to improve income and living conditions of the most disadvantaged.
