This report details the envisaged Maritime High School that hopes to provide knowledge about the maritime industry as well as demonstrate the career opportunities available to high school learners. Students with matriculation qualifications will be able to choose to go directly to work for a shipyard or maritime company/union or continue their education by attending a maritime academy, university, or trade school. With these hopes in mind, the Department of Education initiated a foresight study to look at the sustainability of these ideas and the supporting educational and maritime infrastructure in the province.
